Whale photo workshop

Combine whale watching with an animal photography workshop, in an intimate and privileged setting. Accompanied by a professional photographer, you will learn to better deal with maritime conditions, to anticipate animal movements and to capture these unique moments on the river.

Groups are deliberately limited to 8 participants in order to offer personalized support. Settings, framing and timing will be discussed to help you photograph whales in action, while respecting their environment.

The workshop starts with a theoretical session of about one hour, devoted to photography techniques adapted to maritime conditions and boat shooting. The training is followed by a 2-hour zodiac trip, at the end of the day, to put the learning into practice and take advantage of the most beautiful light possible.

Jocelyn Praud has been practicing animal photography for over 15 years. Passionate about the marine world and whales, he has specialized in the photography of marine mammals in recent years. Whale sightings are not guaranteed! While it is extremely rare not to see marine mammals during a trip, conditions may make whales difficult to observe or conditions may not be ideal for photography. We must not forget that we are in a natural environment with wild animals, and that it is impossible to predict in advance what we will be able to see.
